“Transgenderism”—Bob Marshall Fights On The Culture Front For All Virginians

Seasoned Breitbart reporter Neil Munro declared in his Transgender Candidate Targets Kindergartens, GOP Legislator  —

“Transgender advocates nationwide are pouring huge amounts of money into northern Virginia to defeat a veteran state legislator, GOP Rep Bob Marshall, who openly opposes the transgender ideology.
Democrats, transgender donors, gay political groups and the establishment media have united behind Danica Roem, who says he is transgender. He has changed his legal sex from male to female via Virginia’s paperwork-only sex-change law. He appears in public as a woman, complete with make-up.
Roem ‘is a guy who thinks he’s a girl who wears a dress,’ said Marshall told Breitbart News. But in his Manassas district, ‘a lot of people don’t know … they think [the candidate] is an odd-looking woman.’
By openly opposing the Democrats’ transgender ideology, ‘I am the Number One target of the Democrats’ in the 2017 elections, Marshall said. ‘If they beat me, this will put [conservative] Representatives in the closet for years,’ he said, because many business-backed GOP legislators are already reluctant to fight against the cultural priorities pushed by wealthy progressive groups, including transgender donors and their business allies.‘” (Highlighting added throughout.)

Veteran journalist Munro points out to his national audience what many Old Dominion conservatives already know about the state GOP —

“The state’s GOP leaders are ignoring the transgender issue because of the state’s business community, said Terry Schilling, a political strategist at the American Principles Project. ‘Democrats, they know Republicans are [unwilling to fight] on this .. so they will go far out there because they think they will suffer no consequences,’ he said.”

And Munro goes right to the bottom line —

“Marshall is trying to raising funds to keep pace with Roem’s heavy spending. ‘I would like to raise half of what he gets … [because] 27 percent of Democratic supporters back away when they find out about this guy’s background.’”

For many years, Bob Marshall has stood first or stood alone for Virginia conservatives from fiscal and constitutional issues to preserving our culture.

Marshall’s defeat would severely hurt Virginia patriots and give the state GOP yet another excuse to flee from preserving our traditional freedoms.
