Muzzling the Grandys: Political Islam and the Virginia GOP?

Faithful readers know we have been following the progress of Political Islam in northern Virginia — from the activities of the Islamic Saudi Academy here and here to GOP House of Delegates candidate David Ramadan’s petition last year here to the GOP leadership in Congress in behalf of the so-called Ground Zero Mosque to our book review of the Muslim Mafia here.

Now comes Mrs. Fred Grandy reporting here that —

“What took us both by surprise was when political correctness over the topic of creeping sharia began dividing the Republican Party, particularly in the Virginia Federation of Republican Women. Not long after I started my Friday reports on domestic terrorism I began receiving invitations to speak on the subject from GOP women’s groups who were regular listeners. And even after we left the air Fred and I maintained a schedule of public speaking events that were always well attended and well received. These ranged from small lunches for GOP women’s clubs in Northern Virginia to larger public forums at George Mason University. Eventually, we were invited to make a presentation to large VFRW gatherings in Centreville, Va. and Richmond and told these requests were due to the growing interest in sharia law and the covert efforts of the Muslim Brotherhood. Then both events were abruptly cancelled and we were pointedly uninvited to attend. Explanations were all over the map…everything from the inappropriate nature of the subject matter to the argument of one board member who claimed we were ‘overexposed.’” (Underscoring Forum’s.)

By way of background, Catherine Grandy explained:

“When Fred and I were obliged to leave WMAL six months ago we knew there were political forces at work who were relieved we would no longer be regularly reporting on the spread of sharia within the US and the radicalization of the American Muslim community.”

You should not miss reading the entire Catherine Grandy report.

For those of you too young to remember Love Boat, here is Fred Grandy’s biography.

Stay tuned on this.  We are doing our own digging into the Grandy and Virginia Federation of Republican Women (VFRW) matter.

We would be delighted to hear from readers who can reliably tell us in some detail how the VFRW came to cancel their Centreville and Richmond events with the Grandys.

Our cautionary message to the GOP Establishment:

“If we still have dispassionate historians 20 or 30 years from now, we don’t want them to be able to equate fearful blindness on the part of the GOP toward Political Islam and the Muslim Mafia with the blindness of some (but not all) prominent Democrats in the 1930s and 1940s to Communist infiltration into our government and institutions.

Today we see a lamentable parallel with some Republican politicians and Political Islam.

David Horowitz at CPAC last February illuminated the efforts of Political Islam to penetrate not just the GOP but the conservative moment itself.

Read David Horowitz’ CPAC talk here to get his take on those who are now helping Political Islam.
